PADI Rescue Diver Course

EFR (Emergency First Response) – Open to All Divers and Non-Divers

This ONE day land based course is not only a pre-requisite for the next SCUBA course a diver can
take, RESCUE DIVER, but also a very handy course for everyone in the Family.

It does not teach you SCUBA diving; instead it focuses on being a Trained responder to emergencies,
both on land as well as while SCUBA diving.

The EFR includes manual, video and resuscitation mannequin based learning as well as
performances. It teaches everything from Primary care to Secondary Care for adults and children
and gives confidence during an emergency to call upon trained skills.

The EFR merges seamlessly with the PADI RESCUE diver course and can be completed at Absolute

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Continue your SCUBA education and certify to reach greater Depths and diversity in your Diving with
the PADI Advanced Open Water Course.

Eligible for certified PADI Open or Junior open water divers, the Advanced course takes one into 5
specialised “Adventure” dives and greater confidence to handle different diving scenarios.

Apart from the 2 mandatory dives : a Deep dive to 30 meters and the Advanced Compass Navigation
dives, students have the option of selecting 3 special Adventure dives from a range of dives.

Choices could be made between Night Dive, Wreck Dive, Enriched Air (Nitrox) dive, Underwater
photography / videography, Peak Performance Buoyancy dive, Project AWARE dive to the Cavern
dive or Drift dive. There’s even a dive where one can learn to handle the underwater scooters (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) !

There is no exam for the PADI Advanced Open Water Course, just reviews of the 5 chapters in the
course manual with the Instructor.

The PADI Advanced Open Water diver certification allows deeper diving and may also be required
for certain SCUBA diving destinations or dive sites that require a greater level of experience as opposed to the Open Water diver skills.

PADI SCUBA Diver Course (For Swimmers)

The PADI system of certification allows for a flexible approach to certifying as a SCUBA diver.
There is a contingency plan for any student that may either not have all the 4 days necessary to
complete the PADI Open Water Diver Course or may want to stage the Certification process over a slower pace of Certification.

A subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course, the SCUBA diver course requires only 2 days and
certifies a student with a license that allows SCUBA diving to 12 meters with a Dive Professional as a buddy.

1. Complete 1 day of Pool Training with half the skills of the Open Water diver course

The SCUBA diver certification can be upgraded at any PADI dive centre in the World by simply:

3. Completing day 2 of the open water training dives.
