Exploring the Depths of the Ocean
Absolute Scuba was created by 2 divers employed with the best diving company in India.
So you’re wondering, why not just stay on with them? Why reinvent the wheel?
Well, that’s our secret. We sought to better ourselves and so, Absolute Scuba brought to the SCUBA market something totally novel.
We noticed that India was going through a Recreational Diving revolution of sorts. Previously, diving was seen as an elitist sport, with expensive holidays and certifications. Diving holidays and certifications would cost a fortune and the only destinations in India (Lakshadweep, Andamans, Goa) were as expensive but not as attractive as more “exotic” destinations overseas. However, the last two decades have seen a shift in perception, with globalization, media, and increased disposable income resulting in a booming SCUBA market.
More and more Indians began looking to “take the plunge”, and all SCUBA salesmen out there began wracking their brains to create a product best suited to these masses.
Absolute Scuba introduced Inland Pool Training, a niche in the domestic Scuba market tapped by less than five operators in India. This led to Absolute Scuba becoming the pioneer dive center in Pune, a city known for its youthful and adventurous spirit.

Born from the passion of two divers who honed their skills with India’s premier diving company, Absolute Scuba emerged as a beacon of innovation in the SCUBA market. Recognizing a shifting landscape where diving was once seen as exclusive, we pioneered the introduction of Inland Pool Training, catering to a growing demand for accessible and affordable diving experiences. Our journey began with a mission to redefine the perception of diving, making it more inclusive and accessible to all adventure seekers.
Inspired by a commitment to inclusivity, we pioneered Inland Pool Training, revolutionizing diving accessibility and affordability. Our goal went beyond courses, aiming to craft immersive experiences that broke conventional barriers. From the turquoise depths of Lakshadweep to the vibrant reefs of Andamans, we aimed to share the magic of underwater exploration with enthusiasts of all backgrounds.

Our Vision
We started in 2012 looking to successfully establish ourselves as a Dive Training, Travel, Equipment Retail and Consultation center for all things SCUBA.
Our collaborations:
- Multiple swimming pools in and around the city – to offer pool based confined water training essential for the completion of the open water dives.
- Dive and Live-Aboard Operators in multiple Destinations globally – to offer a range of Destinations, budgets, Seasonal Availability options to both beginners and a large number of certified divers from all over the country and beyond.
- Diving Equipment Manufacturers – to officially promote and make available reputable and high-quality dive gear to a market where scuba gear is scarce.

Today, 15 countries, 50 trips, 1000 divers, 25,000 dives and a million memories later, we’re still looking onward and upward, endeavoring to bring you the best of the best.

- We offer a student instructor ratio of 6:1, at the maximum, ensuring proper attention is given to every student.

All the more reason to dive with Absolute! We have a perfect safety record throughout our 27 years of experience. We’ve seen some very bizarre things on the field – the effects of narcosis, vomiting underwater, cramps, equalization issues, even dentures floating away! – and know how to deal with it all. You can rest assured that you’re in safe hands.
All our courses are in strict compliance with the set of standards issued by PADI. Moreover, we also conduct stringent swimming and medical assessments of participants before getting them under water with SCUBA. All participants are made aware of the risks associated with the sport – hence creating safe, responsible and well- informed divers!
It is for the same reasons, all Absolute Scuba instruction begins in a swimming pool, which is a controlled and regulated environment. We want you to get comfortable underwater first, and we want you give you room to make mistakes. In a sport like this, even the slightest details count.
We collaborate with dive centers that are as concerned with safety and comfort as we are at each of our dive destinations in India and overseas. We know the optimal time to dive at each and every dive site we visit because of all of our wandering! No, we do not guarantee that nothing will go wrong; instead, we provide a 99% guarantee of the same.

Our Story
Siddharth’s encounter with Prahlad Kakkar and Sumer Verma ignited his passion for diving. Joining forces with Seemant, he ventured into the depths of Lakshadweep, experiencing the wonders of marine life firsthand. This marked the beginning of a thrilling journey into the underwater world.
Seemant’s expertise as a CMAS Instructor expanded to encompass PADI certification, merging the best of both worlds. Exploring new dive destinations like the Andaman Islands and Goa, he continued to push the boundaries of underwater exploration.
After years of collaboration and camaraderie, Siddharth embarked on a new venture. Absolute Scuba was born out of shared passion and expertise, aiming to bring the joy of diving to Pune and beyond.
Absolute Scuba revolutionized diving in Pune, offering training to diverse groups of enthusiasts. From children to professionals from various fields, everyone embraced the opportunity to explore the underwater realm. Dive trips to exotic locations became a regular affair, cementing Absolute Scuba’s reputation as a premier diving destination.
Absolute Scuba’s growth trajectory soared as they secured exclusive distributorship for Luxfer SCUBA cylinders in India. Expanding their training facilities to prestigious locations like the Royal Connaught Boat Club and Tilak Tank, they continued to push boundaries and explore new diving destinations worldwide.
Absolute Scuba’s commitment to excellence led to the expansion of their training facilities to the RLSS(I) swimming pool, offering unparalleled diving experiences in Pune. With an ever-growing list of certified students and exciting dive trips planned, the journey of exploration and discovery continues unabated.
